Everyday Magic ⭐️✨

I’ve long been a lover of rocks, crystals, glass, and seashells.
Any treasure from the earth has a solid place inside my heart. I am an expert at collecting beautiful pieces of crystals, rocks and gems and as an empath, it is no surprise that I am naturally drawn to earth energy from stones, rocks and crystals.
My collection has been steadily growing; it fills the walls of my library with such soothing, calm energy. It is only natural that I have gone on a bit of a spree lately with some new and exciting crystal purchases from my favourite local online metaphysical shop: The Wandering Fox Emporium.
Check out a few of my new additions to the Haven’s collection as they wait to charge in today’s sunlight! ☀️
Special thanks to owner, Juliana Angelina my “personal crystal shopper” – she’s a purveyor of wonder with an excellent eye for quality and unique pieces! ⭐️✨
“The Artist’s Way: A Spiritual Path To Higher Creativity is a self-help book by American author Julia Cameron. The book was written to help people with artistic creative recovery, which teaches techniques and exercises to assist people in gaining self-confidence in harnessing their creative talents and skills. Correlation and emphasis is used by the author to show a connection between artistic creativity and a spiritual connection with God.” (Wikipedia)
Salutations everyone! I studied the Artist’s Way for a semester in university and through artist dates and morning pages I rediscovered my authentic self as a creative writer. I’ve created an esoteric lifestyle blog through photos and posts that capture camera stills and videos of living on the water, surrounded by nature and the elements.
It started as a creative escape; my little place of forgetting; and I named it Spellerella’s Haven 👑✨ to celebrate my love for words, and the awesome beauty of nature. Now it has evolved into so much more than that and has become a fantastic way to put my writing skills to good use.
It took many years but I’m finally building a community for other creative writers, artists, self published authors and even supporting creative entrepreneurs by writing reviews about their work.
It’s opened up a world of opportunity for me as I connect with others who share my love for words. I even started my own small shop selling a few of my simple favourite tools for immersing myself in the creative process!
Julia Cameron’s book is responsible for giving me back my true passion which I had buried under years of ignoring my own dreams and aspirations to travel the path that was expected of me but not chosen by me. Living a full semester of The Artist’s Way has reignited the undeniable truth that I am and forever will be first and foremost a Dancing Intellectual 👑✨ and a creative entrepreneur.
Love and Light,
-Spellerella.

“Awe” has been a part of my daily life on earth since I was old enough to realize that I “see” and “feel” the world around me more deeply than most others …and this has been the defining trait of why I consider myself a geomantic empath. As a writer, “awe” and the ability to create “visual awe“ through the art of arranging words is paramount to my craft. Seek for the awe in each moment; in every experience, and be mindful of the magick that manifests within. 👑✨” – Spellerella.
THE POWER OF AWE – by Anne Helmstadter
I came across an article in Inc. Magazine recently that caught my attention.
“New Study: A 15 Minute “Awe Walk” Kills Stress and Loneliness and Boosts Happiness.”
The study sent two groups of people on 15 minute daily walks, telling one group to take a regular walk, and telling the other group to look for “awe.” The researchers also asked the participants to take selfies on their walks.
The researchers suggested to the participants in the “awe walk” group that “simply taking the time to notice everyday beauty, from the play of light on a drop of rain to the subtle colors of fall foliage, could produce the feeling [of awe].”
In other words, participants didn’t need to go to The Grand Canyon, Niagara Falls, or the Himalayas to experience awe.
Not surprisingly, the “awe walk” group felt less stressed over time, more social, and experienced more positive emotions. Interestingly, they also took selfies in which the landscape took up more space than they did suggesting the “awe walks” helped them gain a better perspective on themselves as part of a vast, awesome universe.
Wow.
This is indeed powerful stuff.
Powerful stuff that writers already do and know.
Writers look for the “awe feeling” every day. That’s how they write. That’s how they come up with gorgeous descriptions of a dead flower in a rusty pot, or dirty dishes piled in a sink, or the crumpled feeling of grief.
Writers already know there’s awe everywhere.
If you haven’t been paying attention to the details of the world around you recently, this is a reminder.
Thank you to Anne, for sharing this important reminder about the importance of remaining mindful —at Spellerella’s Haven 👑✨ we couldn’t agree more.
